First check which iOS version you are on. On iOS 26.1 and later Fajri uses Apple's AlarmKit, which rings through Silent mode and Focus. On earlier versions it falls back to a notification, which follows your device's Silent switch and your Focus settings — so a muted phone will stay quiet. Also make sure notifications are allowed for Fajri in Settings, and that the prayer you expected has an adhan alert switched on in the app.

The adhan rings at your iPhone’s alarm and ringer volume, which apps are not allowed to override. Raise the ringer volume in Settings › Sounds & Haptics, and make sure “Change with Buttons” is set the way you expect.

Prayer times depend on the calculation method, and different authorities disagree. Open Settings in the app and choose the method your local mosque follows — Umm Al-Qura, ISNA, Muslim World League and others are included, along with the Hanafi Asr option and custom Fajr and Isha angles for regional accuracy.

Yes. Decline the location permission and search for your city by name instead. Everything else works exactly the same.

Yes, for everything essential. Prayer times, alarms, notifications, tracking, the muṣḥaf and the adhkar are all computed or stored on the device. The only features that need a connection are streaming recitation audio you have not downloaded yet, and looking up a city name.

Settings › Language. Switching between English and Arabic requires the app to close and reopen — iOS fixes the text direction when an app launches, so this is the only way to apply it cleanly. The app will tell you before it closes.

Not currently. Your log lives only on the device you recorded it on, which is a consequence of building the app without a server. It is included in your own encrypted iCloud device backup if you have that switched on.

Delete the app. Everything Fajri stores is on your device, so removing the app removes all of it. There is no account to close and nothing held on our side.
